Do Those Who Only Hear Islam Through Propaganda Really 'Know' Islam?
It seems like many non-Muslims, especially if they haven't been given direct dawah, get such a distorted picture of Islam from all the propaganda and anti-Islam talk out there. Their understanding gets so clouded by islamophobic noise that they can't truly grasp the core message-that it's all about 'laa ilaha illAllah Muhammadan rasul Allah.' Even if they've heard the shahada, it's buried under so much misinformation that they're practically deceived away from accepting its truth. It makes me wonder if on the Day of Judgment, a lot more people might be counted among those who 'never properly heard' the message, rather than those who heard and rejected it. They're like sheep, misled by secularism and other ideas they didn't choose, but Allah knows best. Could it be that these folks-say, many Americans-might be tested separately by Allah SWT on that Day, like the Prophet ﷺ mentioned? I recall Imam al-Ghazali rahimahullah might've held a view like this, but I’m not fully sure. If anyone knows better, feel free to share. JazakAllah khair.
