Pocket guide for Muslim warriors from DUM RT
Assalamu alaikum! The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan has put together a little guide called "Muslim in Military Service." They recently introduced it in Donetsk - that’s what the muftiate’s press service reports.
This booklet is meant to help Muslim soldiers stay spiritually supported during their service, especially if they’re involved in special military operations. It explains how to properly observe religious rituals even in tough combat conditions.
The guide has a detailed collection of prayers (duas) you can say in different situations a fighter might face. There are supplications for protection from the enemy, for inner peace, and for overcoming fear and anxiety. Plus, it offers advice on how to keep your spirit strong and maintain mental balance in the stressful environment of battle. There’s also a brief manual on how to correctly perform namaz during service, taking into account the specifics of military life.
What’s especially valuable is that the regimental imam of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Tatarstan, Muhammad Khairulaev, helped create this guide. He’s been spiritually supporting soldiers from the 15th Alexandria Brigade and the 90th Tank Division, being on the front lines since early 2024. His personal experience and constant presence in the combat zone helped address the real needs of the warriors and the specifics of the current situation.
Just a reminder, Islam appeared in the 7th century and had a huge impact on the history and culture of many peoples. The word “Islam” itself translates from Arabic as “submission to the will of Allah.” Today, over a billion people around the world follow this religion.
