NU 2026 Congress Committee in Jombang Sets Up 24-Hour Health Posts, Doctors and Ambulances on Standby
The committee for the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress is setting up three health posts that will operate round the clock at Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School in Jombang from August 27–31, 2026. The posts are located at Wahab Hasbullah University, MAN 3 Jombang, and MTsN Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas, each equipped with doctors, nurses, ambulances, and emergency treatment rooms.
Health Coordinator dr. HM Zulfikar As’ad said medical staff will work in shifts without a break. The committee is teaming up with the PCNU Jombang Health Institution, East Java PWNU, PDNU, and Arsinu to beef up services, and coordinating with the District and Provincial Health Offices. RSUD Jombang and RSUD Ploso are designated as the main referral hospitals, backed by private hospitals with an on-call rotation system.
A digital medical record system is being developed with the Jombang District Communication and Information Office to digitally track patients' health histories. Gus Ufik stressed that initial treatment is done at the posts, and if further care is needed, patients will be immediately referred to a hospital.
