NTB Religious Affairs Office Reminds Hajj Pilgrims to Focus on Worship, Avoid Unproductive Activities
The head of the NTB Religious Affairs Office, Lalu M. Amin, emphasized that Hajj pilgrims must prioritize solemnity in worship and avoid unproductive activities while in the Holy Land. He reminded that Hajj as the fifth pillar of Islam requires physical, mental, and spiritual readiness, so time should be used maximally for worship.
Amin stated that creating content in worship areas is not permitted and can incur strict sanctions up to fines by Saudi Arabian authorities. He also highlighted the role of Hajj and Umrah Worship Guidance Groups (KBIHU) in maintaining order, advising against excessive attributes like banners that could potentially disrupt other pilgrims' concentration.
Additionally, pilgrims are asked not to carry excessive belongings to avoid mobility issues, especially during the journey from Medina to Mecca. Amin stressed that the safety and comfort of pilgrims are the government's top priority in conducting the Hajj pilgrimage, emphasizing the importance of performing worship comfortably and safely.
