Nenek Encoh Happy, Her Bamboo House Got Fixed by Kertarahayu Village Government
Happiness shone from Encoh (76), a resident of Cisaat hamlet, Kertarahayu Village, Setu District, Bekasi Regency. Her rickety bamboo hut that was liable to collapse has now been repaired by the Kertarahayu Village Government through the "Dandanin Rumah" (Fixing Homes) program.
"Praise God, super happy, no more leaks," Encoh said, Sunday (28/6/2026).
Kertarahayu Village Head, Rudi Catur Pribadi, explained that this program targets uninhabitable houses and has been running for two years. Five houses of underprivileged residents have been rebuilt with strict verification to be right on target, prioritizing the elderly and residents without decent income.
