Navigating My Deen in a Non-Muslim Household: Need Tips!
Assalamu alaikum all! I recently reverted to Islam Alhamdulillah, after a previous attempt didn't work out because of some negative influences (they're out of my life now, Alhamdulillah). I'm really trying to stick with my faith this time and avoid past mistakes, so any advice would be such a blessing, jazakAllah khair. To give you a picture: I'm still in school and can't move out since I'm not an adult yet. Access is tricky-parental controls block apps, I can't get to a mosque, and I don't have any Muslim friends locally. I've been working on learning how to pray properly and it's been a bit tough, honestly. Also, my family is faithful and goes to church regularly, so I sometimes join them. They don't make me eat pork, Alhamdulillah, but other things like halal meat aren't available in my area. Plus, I live in a mostly white, rural area with not much connection to broader Muslim communities. I can share more details if needed, but that's the gist for now. Any tips or support, especially considering my situation, would mean so much!
