Long Queues for Biodiesel in Bojonegoro Cause Traffic Jams, Pertamina Ensures Supply is Safe
Lines of vehicles refueling with diesel have appeared at several gas stations in Bojonegoro in recent days, causing congestion and even traffic jams. This condition is triggered by a surge in Biodiesel consumption, especially by heavy vehicles like trucks and buses, after the long Idul Adha holiday.
Pertamina Patra Niaga's East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR, Ahad Rahedi, stated that the increased activity of logistics transport and agricultural product hauling in Bojonegoro is the main factor. "These queues happen because of the rise in logistics transport, buses, and local operational vehicles after the long Idul Adha break," he said.
To handle this, Pertamina prioritizes Biodiesel shipments to high-consumption gas stations, intensively monitors tank trucks, and redirects consumers to alternative stations if needed. "We're keeping a close eye on the tank trucks to speed up distribution," Ahad explained.
Pertamina's data up to May 2026 shows that Biodiesel distribution realization in Lamongan, Bojonegoro, and Tuban is still in line with the quotas. In Bojonegoro, the quota is 65,221 KL with a realization of 24,500 KL.
