It took me 9 years to stop overthinking - what finally helped, alhamdulillah
As-salamu alaykum. Most problems aren’t as big as they seem. A lot of the harm happens inside our heads. Reality usually stings less than the story we keep telling ourselves. Stop rejecting yourself before anyone else can. Try even if you don’t feel ready. Share even if it’s not perfect. Send that message even if you think there will be no reply. Overthinking often hides fear behind a cloak of logic. Thinking less actually fixes more. Not every issue needs endless analysis. Some answers arrive when you step back, slow down, and give things time. Right now is what you can act on. You can’t think your way into changing the past or fully controlling the future, but your actions now quietly shape both. Question your thoughts - the mind inflates fears and fills gaps with worst-case scenarios. Treat thoughts as hypotheses, not facts. Acceptance brings relief. Peace comes from accepting what you can’t control: imperfection, uncertainty, outcomes. Look after your mental health - sleep, gentle exercise, healthier food, and less screen time and routines all help - but if you never challenge negative thinking, you’ll still feel stuck. Make dua, seek counsel from trusted family or a spouse, and remember to put your trust in Allah while taking small practical steps.
