Is it okay to play games with a non‑Muslim?
Assalamu alaikum - I play on a Minecraft server and belong to a team called Mifisclan. I enjoy building, mining, and fighting mobs with one of the other players. We have fun together, and it’s nothing romantic - we don’t talk about religion and the most personal stuff we share is about our pets. One time they called me their “most trusted friend :)”, and that made me uneasy. I remember reading advice from the Quran and Sunnah about being careful with very close friendships with non‑Muslims, so I’m worried this might affect my eemaan. Is it problematic for me to keep playing with a non‑Muslim like this? Any gentle advice would be appreciated - jazakAllahu khayr.
