IMYF 2026 Strengthens World Muslim Youth Collaboration to Face Global Challenges
BKSAP DPR RI Chair, Syahrul Aidi Maazat, opened the International Muslim Youth Forum (IMYF) 2026 in Jakarta, Friday (6/12/2026). The forum, themed "Beyond Borders: Muslim Youth Shaping the Future of the Ummah in a Turbulent World," is seen as important to strengthen global Muslim youth solidarity and collaboration.
Syahrul stressed that Muslim youth hold a big responsibility in finding solutions to the world’s challenges. With nearly two billion Muslims, this potential must be realized through collective action and cross-country cooperation. He urged participants to stay optimistic and become agents of change.
The forum also served as a space to exchange ideas and build strategic networks. Syahrul hopes the discussion outcomes can be input for BKSAP DPR, including ahead of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States Session in Azerbaijan. Islamic values of peace and justice were emphasized as the basis for Muslim youth’s role amid global conflicts.
“Hopefully this spirit will continue and become energy for the world’s Muslim youth to jointly build a more peaceful, just, and prosperous future,” he concluded.
