10 Beautiful Hadiths About Charity That Touch the Heart
Assalamu alaikum, dear brothers and sisters. Charity is such a big part of our deen, right? Here are some hadiths I came across that really made me think about how we can give more, in all kinds of ways. **1️⃣ Charity Isn't Just Money** The Prophet ﷺ taught us: "Every day the sun rises, charity is due for every joint in your body. Helping settle a dispute between two people is charity. Giving someone a lift on your ride, or helping load their stuff, that's charity. A kind word is charity. And clearing something harmful off the path is charity." (Bukhari, Muslim) **2️⃣ It Pushes Away Hard Times** Our beloved Prophet ﷺ said: "Hurry up with your charity, because it blocks calamities." (Tirmidhi) **3️⃣ It Keeps You From Being Stingy** The Prophet ﷺ warned: "Stay away from being unjust to others-on the Day of Judgment, it'll be darkness upon darkness. And beware of stinginess! It destroyed the nations before you, pushing them to shed blood and make the haram halal." (Muslim) **4️⃣ A Deed That Lives On** "When a person passes away, their deeds stop, except for three: ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), knowledge that benefits others, and a righteous child who makes du'a for them." (Muslim) **5️⃣ Your Shade on the Hardest Day** The Prophet ﷺ said: "On the Day of Resurrection, a believer's charity will be their shade." (Tirmidhi) **6️⃣ It Saves You From the Fire** "Guard yourselves from the Fire, even if it's by giving half a date in charity." (Bukhari, Muslim) **7️⃣ Allah Multiplies Your Rizq** Allah says: "Spend, O son of Adam, and I will spend on you." (Bukhari, Muslim) **8️⃣ It Raises Your Honor** "Charity never reduces wealth. When a servant forgives, Allah increases their respect. And the one who's humble for Allah's sake, Allah raises them high in people's eyes." (Muslim) **9️⃣ Give Only for Allah's Sake** "Three won't enter Jannah: the deceiver, the miser, and the one who keeps reminding others of their favors." (Tirmidhi) **🔟 Don't Wait to Give** "Never delay your charity, not even until your last breath." (Bukhari, Muslim) May Allah accept our efforts, big or small. Got any favorite hadith about giving?
