Illegal Settlers Set Mosque and Residents' Vehicles on Fire in the West Bank
Illegal settlers tried to set a mosque on fire in the village of Burqa, Ramallah, in the West Bank on Sunday night while worshippers were inside. They first torched vehicles near the mosque, then broke down the door and set the entrance ablaze. The worshippers managed to put out the fire, so no one was injured. Footage shows severe damage to the mosque.
In Deir Dibwan, settlers also burned two vehicles, completely destroying them, and damaged two others. The attack happened in the al-Marah area near the western entrance of the city. The perpetrators fled after carrying out the attack.
Additionally, in Nahhalin, west of Bethlehem, settlers dumped soil and rocks on farmland in the Al-Jamala Valley. The land had 200 olive trees and is close to the Beitar Illit colony. The dumping is thought to be aimed at expanding the colony's fence, threatening the seizure of nearly 200 dunums.
