How Can Prophet Yusuf (AS) Be the Most Beautiful If Beauty Is Subjective?
Salaam everyone! I've been thinking about something. We often hear that Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him) was the most beautiful person ever created. But then they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So how can both be true? I used to think there was a fixed ranking of looks. Like, if people look different, then some are definitely better-looking than others, right? As a Muslim, I believed that Prophet Yusuf (AS) being the most beautiful means there's an objective hierarchy. So someone having a nicer jawline or whatever would just be a hard fact. But real life made me question this. I saw a video where a group of sisters ranked brothers by physical attraction, and while many agreed on some, not everyone did. So it's not absolute. Attraction depends on the person looking. Then I reflected: Allah Himself told us Prophet Yusuf (AS) is the most beautiful. That's a divine fact, not a human opinion. When we judge beauty, we're just interpreting based on our own framework. But Allah's decree is reality. So maybe physical beauty is subjective among us, but Prophet Yusuf's beauty is a truth from our Creator that goes beyond our limited views. In the end, "better" in beauty changes with the person, but what Allah says is the ultimate truth. Just some thoughts-what do you all think?
