House Burglary and Gold Worth Rp 82 Million Gone, Two Young Men Nabbed by Gresik Police
The Resmob Unit of Gresik Police's Criminal Investigation Division cracked a house burglary case in Randuboto Village, Sidayu, Gresik. Two suspects were arrested: M. Mirza Rahmansyah (22), a neighbor of the victim, and Alim Hakimulla Mesah (25) from Surabaya.
The case happened on Friday, May 30, 2026, when the victim Lailatus Zahro was at work and her husband was at Friday prayers. Suspect MMR got in by prying open the door and took the gold, while AHM kept watch. The loss hit Rp 82.6 million.
Police caught MMR in Surabaya and then AHM. Evidence seized includes bracelets, necklaces, a helmet, a bag, and CCTV footage. Some of the jewelry was sold for Rp 69 million, used to pay off debts and for nights out in Surabaya and Malang. Both suspects are charged under Article 477 of the Criminal Code for aggravated theft.
