Gresik Traffic Police Escort Mother in Labor to Ibnu Sina Hospital, Baby Born Safely
Personnel from the Gresik Police Traffic Unit escorted a car carrying a mother about to give birth to Ibnu Sina General Hospital. The incident happened during a routine patrol on Jalan Dr. Wahidin, when the driver of a Toyota Avanza asked for help because his passenger, Arfrida Anggraeni, was in the middle of labor.
The officers found that the baby's head had already started to emerge, so they immediately carried out an emergency escort with sirens on to cut through traffic. Once they got to the ER, the medical team took over and managed both the mother and baby safely.
Gresik Police Traffic Chief AKP Nur Arifin said this kind of action is part of the police's service to the community, and urged people not to hesitate to ask for help during emergencies on the road. Arfrida's family also expressed their appreciation for the quick response.
