GPK Chairman Denies Issue of Mass Dismissals in PPP
Imam Fauzan A. Uskara, the General Chairman of the Gerakan Pemuda Kabah (GPK), has denied the existence of mass dismissals targeting hundreds of executives at the provincial and district boards of the Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP). Fauzan described the statement from GPK Secretary-General Thobahul Aftoni as a provocative narrative that does not represent the organization's stance.
He explained that the organizational restructuring by the PPP Central Executive Board is part of an internal mechanism. The appointment of Acting Officers in several regions was carried out because the previous management failed to hold regional consultations, while changes at the district board level were due to the expiration of their appointment letters, not dismissals. For example, in East Java, 26 out of 38 district boards were extended with the same composition.
Fauzan emphasized the importance of focusing on preparations for the 2029 Election verification and consolidation, urging cadres to exercise restraint to avoid fracturing the party's solidarity.
