First Group of Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims for 2026 Arrives in Mecca
A total of 360 Indonesian Hajj pilgrims from the Yogyakarta Embarkation Point (YIA-01) arrived in Mecca on Thursday, April 30, 2026, around 1:00 PM Saudi Arabian time. This arrival marks the start of the first wave of Indonesian pilgrims in the Holy Land. The process went smoothly and was filled with a grateful atmosphere.
Indonesian Hajj officers and the Arab Saudi syarikah directly welcomed this first group. Ronald Paul Sinyal, Head of Sector 7 in the Misfalah Area, reported the smooth reception of pilgrims at the Al Asalah Al-Bakkiya Hotel.
Based on Siskohat data, a total of 4,871 pilgrims from 12 groups are scheduled to arrive in Mecca today. As of Wednesday, April 29, 2026, 54,604 pilgrims have been dispatched to the Holy Land, with 52,343 of them already arrived in Medina. The government continues to ensure optimal services for the comfort and safety of the Hajj pilgrimage.
