Do good deeds count after drinking?

Salaam everyone. I heard that if someone drinks alcohol, their prayers aren't accepted for 40 days. But what about other good deeds during that time if they don't repent? Are they still accepted, or are they less or not fully accepted? JazakAllah khair.
