Do angels guard me?

Assalamu alaikum everyone. To cut it short, by Allah’s mercy I’ve grown really close to Him, and I spend a lot of time just talking to Allah. Lately, for a few days now, I’ve had this feeling that something or someone is always with me-no negative vibes or anything like jinn. I don’t see anything, and this presence doesn’t make itself seen or felt physically; it’s just a gut sense that maybe an angel is around, not the ones assigned from birth. So I’m a bit confused, brothers-could it be that an angel truly visits me sometimes by Allah’s will? Or is it all in my head?
