Deputy Hajj Minister Offers Condolences for the Death of a Hajj Officer's Wife in Malang, Honors Husband's Dedication to Serving Pilgrims
Malang - Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak paid a condolence visit to the family home of the late Diana Maf’ulla in Malang on Saturday (6/13). His presence was a gesture of empathy and respect for Muhaimin, an Indonesian hajj officer who remains on duty in Saudi Arabia despite losing his beloved wife.
The deceased passed away while her husband was carrying out his role as part of the Hajj Organizing Committee in Saudi Arabia. Even though he was given the chance to return home, Muhaimin chose to complete his assignment until July 2, 2026, to make sure pilgrim services run smoothly.
“We express our deepest condolences. May Allah SWT forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds, and grant her the best place,” Dahnil said. He noted that Muhaimin’s decision reflects a high level of dedication, putting service to the community above personal interests.
Dahnil also invited the public to pray for the deceased and the bereaved family, asking that they be given strength. This event serves as a reminder of the sacrifices behind the duty of serving the guests of Allah in the Holy Land.
