Can I speak from my heart to Allah during sujood?

Assalamu alaikum. Someone mentioned this to me and it was new to me. I’m wondering if we can talk freely to Allah while in sujood during salah. Is this allowed in both fard and nafl prayers, or only in nafl? Also, can I make dua in English? And is there a particular sequence or order for what I want to say?
