BPJPH Records 13 Million Halal-Certified MSME Products, Banten Tops the National List
The Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body (BPJPH) noted that by mid-2026, as many as 13 million products have gotten halal certification, with 80 percent of them coming from the MSME sector. This achievement is an accumulation since 2019.
Director of Halal Certification at BPJPH, Yanis Nuraini, said that the Free Halal Certificate (SEHATI) program is being rolled out again with a quota of 1.35 million for micro and small business players this year. The government is targeting 14 million business players to be halal-certified by 2029.
Banten recorded the highest registration nationally with 60,000 MSME players signing up, followed by Bengkulu, West Java, Aceh, and North Sumatra. The quota being fully absorbed shows high enthusiasm.
This program is considered important to guarantee product halalness, boost MSME competitiveness, and expand market access and consumer trust.
