Bojonegoro Regent Officially Sees Off 432 Prospective Hajj Pilgrims of Groups 37 & 38
Bojonegoro Regent Setyo Wahono along with the regional leadership forum (Forkopimda) officially saw off 432 prospective hajj pilgrims (CJH) from the regency early Friday morning (1/5). The ceremony at the Malowopati Pendopo was solemn, especially for the first group departing this year.
Wahono emphasized that the hajj pilgrimage is a special calling that not all Muslims receive. "You are all guests of Allah. This hajj is not just a physical journey, but also a spiritual journey," he said. He advised the pilgrims to maintain their health, obey the regulations in the Holy Land, and uphold the good name of the region.
Head of the Bojonegoro Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs for Hajj and Umrah, Muh Abdulloh Hafith, stated that the total number of prospective pilgrims from Bojonegoro for the 2026 hajj season has reached 1,741 people. Of the 432 pilgrims departing in this phase, 59 are in Group 37 and 373 are in Group 38. Subsequent departures will be carried out in stages according to schedule.
