Seeking Islamic Knowledge: Where Should a Revert Start?

Assalamu alaikum everyone, As a recent revert, I'm eager to learn more about our deen, especially when it comes to aqeedah, tawheed, and fiqh. The challenge is, I can't afford a private tutor for Islamic studies right now. Honestly, I'm feeling a bit lost about where to begin. There are so many videos and books out there-how do I know which ones are trustworthy? Is it okay to just pick up any Islamic book and start taking notes, or should I figure out which madhab to follow first? Any advice or guidance you can share would be truly appreciated.
