Baznas Nganjuk Distributes Aid and MSME Capital in Muharam Event
The National Zakat Board (Baznas) of Nganjuk Regency held the "Gebyar Muharam" event at the KRT Sosrokoesoemo Hall of Nganjuk Government, Friday (10/7). At the event, Baznas handed out aid to 500 orphans and underprivileged children, 79 converts, as well as a number of people with disabilities. In addition, capital was distributed for MSMEs, medical bill settlements for SKTM patients at Nganjuk Regional Hospital, and home renovation assistance for the uninhabitable houses (RTLH).
Nganjuk Baznas Chairman, Zainal Arifin, stressed that this aid comes from public zakat, infak, and sedekah channeled officially. He is committed to upholding the trust so it's distributed according to sharia principles.
Nganjuk Regent, Marhaen Djumadi, appreciated the synergy between Baznas and the local government in alleviating poverty. He hopes Baznas will keep creating innovative programs to sustainably improve people's welfare.
