Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Stays Neutral for the Success of the 35th NU Congress in Jombang
The Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Tambakberas, Jombang, has affirmed its commitment to staying neutral ahead of the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress on August 27–31, 2026. As the host, the pesantren is focused on preparation and service without getting involved in supporting any candidates.
The foundation's chairman, KH Abdurrozaq Sholeh (Gus Rozaq), said the entire pesantren family has agreed to remain neutral in order to uphold the host's dignity and provide the best service for congress participants from various regions.
Preparation of basic facilities like sanitation and participant access has reached 100 percent. The committee is now finishing up final work on the parking area and bazaar.
Gus Rozaq hopes that synergy between the committee, local government, and the people of Jombang will support a smooth and blessed congress for NU and the Indonesian nation.
