Told Allah I'd give up a sin if He did something for me – now I'm confused
Assalamu alaikum, I was really hoping for something to work out, so I made this deal with Allah – like, if You make this happen, I'll stop that sin for a while. The thing didn't go my way, and now I get it, bargaining like that isn't right. I should just quit the sin for His sake, not to get something in return. But I messed up and did the sin again before that time was even over. Do I have to do kaffarah for breaking an oath, or was it even a proper oath? Kinda worried about this. JazakAllah khair for any help.
