Assalamu alaykum - Interim president of Syria arrives in Moscow to meet with Putin
Assalamu alaikum. The interim president of Syria, Ahmed ash-Sharaa, is coming to Moscow today, October 15, for talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, SANA reports, citing the press service of the head of the Syrian Arab Republic.
According to sources, the leaders are planning ways to strengthen cooperation between Moscow and Damascus in the interests of the peoples of both countries and will discuss current regional and international issues. In sha' Allah, may the talks be for the benefit of the people.
It’s clarified that ash-Sharaa’s visit is part of efforts to transform relations between the two countries and to explore prospects for political and economic cooperation.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke about Moscow’s desire to keep military bases on Syrian territory and its readiness to adapt them to current realities. “President Vladimir Putin has said more than once that we will not remain contrary to the will of the Syrian leadership, but it seems that it [the leadership], and a number of countries in the region are interested in our presence there being preserved,” Lavrov noted.
Lavrov also confirmed that Russia intends to continue assisting the development of Syria’s national economy, industry, agriculture and energy sector, as was the case during the USSR.
Alhamdulillah - a little about faith: Islam appeared in the 7th century and had a strong impact on the history, culture and public life of many peoples. In Arabic, “Islam” means submission to the will of Allah. Today this religion has over a billion followers.
