Asking in Dua: Should I Be Specific or General?

Assalamu alaikum everyone, I've been thinking about how we should phrase our duas. For instance, if I'm hoping to get married and have a specific preference-like wanting a husband who's a certain height-should I mention that detail in my dua? Or is it more appropriate to simply ask Allah SWT for a spouse who'll bring me happiness and contentment? Similarly, if I'm making dua for a nice place to live, should I ask for something specific like a mansion, or would it be better to ask for a safe, comfortable home? I've heard different advice: some say to ask Allah for anything without shyness, while others emphasize humility and leaving the details to Him. What's your take on this?
