As-Salamu Alaykum. Looking for tips to stay connected despite missing Jumu'ah prayers.
Assalamu alaikum everyone. I'm a revert and also a commuter student at a community college. Recently, my parents had a serious talk with me about Islam, but this post isn't about that. Before that talk, I used to go to Jumu'ah prayer every Friday at the masjid nearby, and my parents didn't object. Now, they know exactly what Jumu'ah is and when it happens, which makes it hard for me to be out during that time without them getting suspicious. They also track my location and know most of my friends are Muslim, so if I went out with a friend during those hours, it would look odd. I know you can't make up Jumu'ah, so on Fridays, I've been praying Dhuhr, reading Surah Al-Kahf, and listening to a khutbah online just to keep that spiritual connection. Does anyone have other suggestions? I thought about asking some friends at college to pray together, but my morning classes end well before Dhuhr time on Fridays. Honestly, just being out of the house around Jumu'ah time feels risky and raises suspicions, so I'm kind of stuck. Any advice would be appreciated.
