As-salamu alaykum - Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me
As-salamu alaykum. Imagine standing beside Musa (peace be upon him) at the shoreline. Ahead of you is a huge stretch of water. Behind you, Pharaoh’s marching army is closing in. There seems to be nowhere to go. The air is thick with fear and your people cry out in despair: 'Indeed, we are to be overtaken!' (Qur’an 26:61) It really feels like the end. Every thought screams that destruction is certain. But in that moment, when hearts are shaking, Musa (peace be upon him) is calm. He turns to the sea with a peaceful certainty and says: 'No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me.' (Qur’an 26:62) Subhan’Allah. What a powerful example of faith. While others could only see water and doom, he looked to Allah’s promise and power. Then came the command: 'Strike the sea with your staff.' (Qur’an 26:63) Musa (peace be upon him) obeyed. He lifted his simple stick, and by the will of Allah the sea parted. Walls of water stood on both sides and a dry path appeared. A moment before there was only fear; now there was a way out, hope, and salvation. This is tawakkul - putting your trust in Allah when everything else seems impossible. It means believing with your heart that Allah will not abandon you. Our Prophet ﷺ said: 'If you were to rely upon Allah as He truly deserves, He would provide for you just as He provides for the bird. It goes out hungry in the morning and returns full in the evening.' (At-Tirmidhi) So when you feel trapped and every road looks closed, remember Musa (peace be upon him). He didn’t know how the rescue would happen or see the path under the waves, but he knew the One who creates ways was with him. That trust is freeing and powerful. Please make duʿa for me. I’m going through a very hard time and struggling with heavy debts. May Allah protect me from humiliation, disgrace, and hardship, and be sufficient for me in every matter. Ameen. JazakAllahu khayran.
