Aceh Besar Government Refines Preparations for MTQ XXXV, Kuta Baro Proposed as Host
BANDA ACEH – The Aceh Besar Regency Government continues to refine preparations for the 35th Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) in 2026. One of the stages is listening to a presentation on the readiness of Kuta Baro District as a prospective host, during a meeting at the PDAM Tirta Mountala Hall on Wednesday (12/8/2026), led by Deputy Regent of Aceh Besar Drs. Syukri A. Jalil.
The Head of Kuta Baro District proposed the field in front of Buengcala Seupe Mosque as the main venue. The Deputy Regent assessed that Kuta Baro is generally ready, but technical adjustments are needed regarding the location and needs of the competition categories.
"This is both a trust and our shared responsibility. Let's prepare as best as possible so that the MTQ runs successfully, solemnly, meaningfully, and provides benefits to the community," said Syukri. He asked the Aceh Besar Islamic Sharia Service and related agencies to immediately follow up on preparations and strengthen coordination.
Syukri also emphasized the importance of involving the Kuta Baro community. The district is asked to immediately conduct outreach so that the community understands the series of events and plays an active role as hosts. This is expected to have a positive impact on the area and comfort for participants.
