A heartfelt reminder before Ramadan departs from us
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. An authentic Hadith, found in Jami` at-Tirmidhi (Hadith #3545), tells us: The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that Jibril (peace be upon him) came to him and declared: 'May the person who experiences Ramadan and then it ends before they are forgiven be distanced (from Allah's mercy).' The Prophet ﷺ replied: Ameen. The real loss is for someone to let Ramadan go by without receiving forgiveness. Ponder that for a moment. Ramadan is the month when the doors of mercy are wide open, sins are wiped away, and Allah calls out each night, asking who seeks forgiveness so He may grant it. So, the person truly deprived is the one who finishes Ramadan unchanged… still burdened by the same wrongdoings… without sincerely turning back to their Lord. But the beautiful mercy of Islam is that the door of repentance (tawbah) remains open. If you feel you haven't made the most of this Ramadan, don't let the whispers of Shaytan convince you it's over or too late. • Turn to Allah with a sincere heart. • Call out to Him in earnest du'a. • Perform Salat al-Tawbah (the Prayer of Repentance). • Seek His forgiveness, again and again. Allah loves the one who returns to Him, no matter how many times they've turned away. These final nights of Ramadan could be the nights that change everything for you. Don't let Ramadan leave you without having been forgiven. Turn back to Allah tonight. 🌙🤍 O Allah, forgive all our sins, accept our fasting and our prayers, and bestow Your mercy upon the entire Ummah. Do not let us depart from Ramadan except as those who are forgiven and rightly guided. Ameen, ya Rabb al-'Alamin. 🤲🏼 🌙🤍
