50 Degrees Temperature Drops Drastically During Wukuf at Arafah, Kiai Cholil: Allah's Help!

This year's wukuf at Arafah was filled with emotion and gratitude. After previously being hit by extreme temperatures of up to 49–50 degrees Celsius, the weather at Arafah suddenly cooled down during the peak of wukuf. Chairperson of Musyrif Diny, KH M Cholil Nafis, called it real help from Allah SWT for the pilgrims. Kiai Cholil said the temperature dropped to about 40 degrees Celsius, so pilgrims could do activities outside the tents without being bothered by the scorching heat. Some pilgrims were even seen reading the Quran under the trees around Arafah. He emphasized wukuf as the core of the hajj pilgrimage that determines whether the worship is valid or not.
