Man's fate has been decreed by Allah SWT. However, Islam still encourages striving. The following amalan (good deeds) can help achieve a better fate. 1. Pray for a Good Fate Recite the do'a to ask for all goodness and protection. HR Ibn Majah & Ahmad state: اللهم إني أسالك من الخير كله عاجله واجله ما علمت منه وما لم أعلم وأعوذ بك من الشر كله عاجله واجله ما علمت منه وما لم أعلم O Allah, indeed, I ask You for all good, its immediate and its later portions, what I know of it and what I do not know. And I seek refuge in You from all evil, its immediate and later portions, what I know of it and what I do not know. 2. Pray for Better Fate Salamat SAW recommended this do'a. HR Bukhari mentions it from Umar bin Khattab. O Allah, rectify for me my religion, which is the safeguard of my affairs. And rectify for me my worldly life, in which is my livelihood. And rectify for me my Hereafter, in which is my return. And make life an increase for me in every good. And make death a relief for me from every evil. ৩. Pray for Protection from All Evils This do'a is read three times in the morning and evening. HR Bukhari mentions this do'a. We have reached the evening and the dominion belongs to Allah, praise. There is no deity except Allah, alone without partner. ৪. Pray for Safety in This World & the Hereafter A common prayer for safety is found in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 201. Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good, protect us from the punishment of the Fire. ৫. Seek Forgiveness & Goodness Seeking much forgiveness can open the doors of sustenance. Surah Nuh verses 10-12 explain the benefits of istighfar. So I said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers. Andgive you increase in wealth and sons and appoint for you gardens and appoint for you rivers.' ৬. Send Blessings upon the Prophet SAW Reciting sholawat makes do'a more easily answered. Surah Al-Ahzab verse 56 states that Allah & the angels also send blessings upon the Prophet SAW. Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace. ৭. Pray at Times when Supplications are Likely to be Answered Times when supplications are likely to be answered, such as in the last third of the night or during tahajjud. HR Bukhari & Muslim report the Prophet SAW said: "Supplication at this time is answered." ৮. Consume Halal Wealth HR Muslim reports the Prophet SAW said consuming halal wealth prevents do'a from being answered. ৯. Give Charity Charity can open the doors of Allah's help. HR Ahmad reports: "Whoever wants his supplication to be answered, let him give charity." Have Faith in Allah SWT Supplicate with full confidence. HR Tirmidzi reports the Prophet SAW said: "Supplicate to Allah with confidence that it will be answered." https://mozaik.inilah.com/ibadah/doa-agar-takdir-menjadi-lebih-baik
