Young Generation Encouraged to Master AI to Win the Future of Sharia Economy
Mastery of technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence (AI) is a key factor in the competitiveness of the sharia economy in the digital era. The younger generation is considered strategic to ensure Indonesia becomes a major player in the global digital ecosystem, not just a market.
This emerged in the SEA-SUKA 5.0 National Seminar held by ForSEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga on Wednesday (3/6/2026). Deputy Chairman of MES DIY Dr. Priyonggo Suseno stressed the need for young innovators who integrate sharia values with technology. Digital transformation demands a change in mindset and adaptation.
Digital sharia economy innovation is growing rapidly, covering sharia fintech, equity crowdfunding, digital payments, AI, to digital-based management of zakat and productive waqf. Cross-sector collaboration between philanthropic institutions, universities, and communities is considered important for inclusive growth.
Chairman of ForSEBI Muhammad Ayatullah Nur Ridho hopes that sharia economic knowledge provides real benefits for society. FoSSEI will hold a national campaign on sharia economic literacy to schools. The future of the sharia economy depends on the ability of the younger generation to turn theory into technology-based innovation.
