You're unhappy because you lack shukr and a clear purpose, assalamu alaykum
Assalamu alaykum - When most of your day is spent staring at what others own, is it any wonder your duas feel delayed? How can you grumble that Allah isn't improving your situation when you won't appreciate what He has already given you? Many people would be thankful for even a fraction of your blessings, yet you dismiss them as unimportant. Do you think you're somehow superior, still favoured by Allah, and then complain as if you have nothing? This life is a test, so we won't always get everything we want. If you long for a comfortable, easy life, then distance your heart from dunya and put your effort into gaining a high rank in Jannah. University honours or yearly paychecks won't last forever - the reward of the Hereafter will - so it deserves your dedication. Why compare yourself to strangers who only show the highlights of their lives? People rarely display their struggles online, and often those you complain to either pity you or take secret pleasure in your setbacks. You're turning to people with little mercy instead of the Most Merciful. Gratitude benefits you. Allah doesn't need your praise; you need the peace that shukr brings: the preservation and increase of rizq, contentment while waiting for duas to be answered, and better mental and spiritual wellbeing. Refusing to recognise blessings harms you - it erodes your iman and your happiness. While you grumble, others are praising Allah and accumulating deeds that could elevate them in the next life. They invest in eternal currency and you stack up questions about how you used what was given. Who, then, is truly winning? Reflect: could you cope without your hearing, your sight, your health, your family, your faith? Don’t wait until something is gone to value it. Persisting in sin is the ultimate form of ingratitude. Think of using the blessings Allah granted you to disobey Him, while others are praying for those very means to worship better - someone in a wheelchair longing to go to the masjid unaided, a blind person wishing to see the Kaaba, a deaf person yearning to hear the Qur'an. What are you using your sight, your hearing, your strength for? Remember the ayah: “And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favour]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.’” (Quran 14:7) If you truly want more, start by being content and thankful for what you already have - not using it to sin, not constantly complaining about it, but using it to please Allah and to help others rise to high ranks in Jannah.
