Yawning Constantly While Reciting the Quran
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, dear brothers and sisters. I’ve noticed something that keeps happening: I yawn a lot whenever I read the Quran or pray in congregation. No matter which prayer it is-Asr, Fajr, Isha, or Maghrib-I start yawning exactly when the imam recites Al-Fatiha. It’s like clockwork, every single rak’ah. Even when I’m at home, sitting on my bed and reciting the Quran (since my room is mostly just a bed, and as a new Muslim I’m trying to learn more surahs and improve my Arabic pronunciation), I yawn at least once during each surah. Maybe I’m being too hard on myself, but it’s starting to worry me. Am I doing something wrong? I searched online and some people say it’s from shaitan, while others say it’s normal and happens to them too occasionally. So what’s the deal? Why does it happen so consistently? And is there a way to stop it? It’s not a good look to be standing in the first row and yawning. P.S. I take my deen very seriously, and I’m not treating this lightly, in case anyone thinks that might be why.
