What about those who remain unconvinced by Islam?

Assalamu alaikum, brothers and sisters. I've been thinking... what about people who genuinely study Islam and still don't find it convincing? Like, they read the Quran, research, but it just doesn't click for them. I know Allah is the Most Merciful, but what does our faith say about their fate? JazakAllah khair.
