Victim's Brother Demands Equal Justice, Asks for Suspect's Eyes as Qisas
The older brother of Yuvita Tri Rezeki (29), a victim of confinement and abuse that resulted in permanent blindness, expressed his anger and demand for justice. Apip Shandy asked that suspect Taufik Hidayat be given a qisas punishment, meaning his eyes as compensation for his sister's blindness.
The statement was made at RSHS Bandung on Thursday (25/6/2026), where Yuvita is still recovering. Apip appreciated the police for successfully arresting Taufik in Majalaya without resistance.
However, the family's pain pushed Apip to demand equal justice. "I ask for the suspect Taufik Hidayat's eyes as a replacement for my sister's eyes, which can no longer see," he said.
