Turkey's Zero Waste Foundation launches local consultations on plastic pollution
The Zero Waste Foundation has begun a nationwide consultation process to tackle plastic waste, holding coordination meetings in several Turkish cities. The first meetings were held in Adana and Mersin, bringing together local authorities, industry, and civil society to discuss challenges and solutions. Discussions focused on preventing plastic from reaching water resources and the sea, with officials highlighting inspection efforts and upcoming action plans. The process will conclude with a national workshop in Istanbul at the end of August.
