Thief Caught Stealing Donation Box at Gas Station Musala in Jember

A man with the initials KS from Lumajang was caught by locals while breaking into a donation box at the musala of Al Miftah gas station in Yosorati Village, Sumberbaru District, Jember, on Sunday (6/28) early morning around 4:00 AM local time. His attempt was stopped before he could get away with the stolen money. Sumberbaru Police Chief AKP Joko Sumargo confirmed that the suspect entered the musala and damaged the donation box, but was immediately spotted by worshippers who were about to perform dawn prayers together. The witnesses quickly coordinated with gas station staff to detain the suspect on the spot. The suspect was then taken to the Sumberbaru Police Station to prevent any mob violence. The money inside the donation box was still intact since the suspect was caught before he could take it.
