The mufti explained the incorrect translation of his interview.
Assalamu alaikum. The Mufti of the Chechen Republic, Sheikh Salah Mezhiev, in a video message on the DUMCR Telegram channel, stated that his interview in Chechen was misinterpreted by the media.
The Sheikh noted that the distorted translation was made by those who want to sow religious tension among people. Recently, a segment of his conversation was aired on one channel, where the topic of the enemies of humanity was discussed.
“Two words were taken out of context and then spread on the internet,” the Mufti reported. He clarified that he wasn’t talking about “enemies of Allah” in the sense of a specific nation or religion, but about the enemies of all humanity - those who act with evil intentions and don’t recognize either God’s laws or people’s rights.
The head of the DUMCR added that he has respect for all nations and religions and strives to follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). “When we preach in Chechen, everyone understands that this is not about any specific nation or faith. It’s about evil forces united in malice,” the Mufti summed up.
Earlier, it was reported that on the initiative of the Mufti, humanitarian aid was provided and events were held as part of the project "The Power of Traditions: From the Past to the Future."
