SubhanAllah - Islam was right all along
As-salamu alaykum. Looking at how things are today, isn’t it clear that the rules Allah set for us were actually for our good? Those who refused to take loans to get degrees can feel vindicated now as the value of some qualifications drops, while many are crushed under debt from borrowing. Those who stayed away from gambling, despite how tempting the quick wins looked, can point to the rising addiction and countless apps that push bets on anything - they protected themselves from platforms designed to trap people. Those who practiced tawakkul while still striving, trusting that rizq is ultimately from Allah, can be comforted now that provisions aren’t truly tied to an unstable and cutthroat job market. Islam has been right even when people mocked it. In wealthier times, the common advice was to take loans, try “harmless” bets, or just grind and forget about Allah’s guidance - and if you refused, you were called naive. Then when hardship comes, many suddenly agree it was wrong, but once things ease they slip back into old habits. Who is truly well-off? Allah loves us and wants ease for us, so He gave rules that protect our hereafter and our dunya. Don’t let your hope hinge entirely on this temporary life. The Day of Judgment will make clear who truly prospered and who did not.
