Struggling with Fajr? This simple method finally got me praying on time.
Assalamu alaikum, everyone. I’ve been Muslim since I was born, but Fajr has always been my biggest challenge. For two years, I’d miss it almost daily-setting multiple alarms, snoozing through all of them, and waking up late with that heavy feeling of guilt. Sound familiar? Then, a few months back, I tried something a bit different. I started using an app that forces you to scan a barcode to turn off the alarm. So I stuck a barcode right on my bathroom mirror. Now, when the alarm goes off, I have to actually get out of bed, walk to the bathroom, and scan it. Once I’m already standing there at Fajr time, well, it just feels natural to make wudu and pray. The app also gives accurate prayer times based on where you are, keeps track of your prayer streak, and even lets you connect with a prayer buddy for some accountability. That streak feature really keeps me motivated to stay consistent. Just wanted to share this because it helped me so much, and maybe it can help someone else too. May Allah make it easy for all of us to be steadfast in our prayers. Jazakallah Khair.
