Stray Projectile Hits Resident's Kitchen, BEM Pasuruan Demands Investigation
The incident of a stray projectile piercing through the roof of a resident's kitchen in Alastlogo Village, Lekok District, Pasuruan Regency on Thursday (7/2) morning has drawn a reaction from the Pasuruan Raya Student Executive Board (BEM) Alliance. They condemned the incident, seeing it as a threat to civilian safety.
Coordinator of the Pasuruan Raya BEM Alliance, Muhammad Ubaidillah Abdi, stated that this wasn't just negligence, but a terror in private space that reawakens residents' trauma. He felt the state failed to guarantee security in the area.
Pasuruan Raya BEM urged the Pasuruan City Police to conduct a transparent investigation and ballistic testing, a total evaluation of combat training area SOPs, and provide psychological support for affected residents. They also called on the Regional Government and DPRD to step in and oversee this case so it doesn't happen again.
