Seeking Guidance on My Journey

Assalamu alaikum everyone. I wanted to share my thoughts and ask for a bit of advice, and I'm really grateful to anyone who takes the time to read through this. I live in a small country where our Muslim community isn’t very large-we have a couple of masjids here, and I imagine they’re pretty close-knit. Personally, I come from a Christian family, and I’ll be honest, I’ve struggled back and forth with my beliefs over the years. But in the past few years, my interest in Islam has grown so much, alhamdulillah. I started with a lot of doubts and misunderstandings, common where I’m from, but the more I learned and let go of my biases, the more I felt drawn in by the beauty, wisdom, and sense of community in Islam. Even though I’ve learned a fair bit, I still feel like I have so much to understand. I really want to take that first step and visit a masjid, but I’m a bit nervous. As someone who looks very different from the community there, I worry about standing out or accidentally doing something wrong. If you’ve read this far, jazakAllah khair. I’d be so thankful for any advice on how to approach visiting a masjid for the first time-what to wear, what to expect, or how to start sincerely embracing Islam in my daily life. Shukran!
