Quranic Illiteracy Still Lurks, Mualim Certification Becomes LPQQ's Silent Move
Amid the rapid pace of digital technology, the rate of Quranic illiteracy in Indonesia remains high and is a serious concern for DPP LPQQ Indonesia. Through the Standardization and Certification of Quranic Teachers program at the DKI Jakarta Ministry of Religious Affairs Regional Office on Saturday (30/5/2026), this organization is working to strengthen the quality of Quranic teachers as a foundation for community development.
The committee chair, Danisah, S.Pd.I., C.ITQ, expressed appreciation for everyone's support. The general chairperson of LPQQ Indonesia, KH. Mahbub Sholeh Zarkasyi, highlighted the challenges of the modern era that demand enhanced teacher capacity to bring Quranic values to life within society.
The secretary general of LPQQ Indonesia, Ust. Ibrahim, S.P., outlined the National Movement for Eradicating Quranic Illiteracy, which involves a network of teachers, educational institutions, mosques, and communities. The session also covered the Ishlah Method, which is practical for mentoring students.
The event wrapped up with the awarding of Special Trainer Certificates and official decrees to successful participants. LPQQ Indonesia hopes this program will produce competent teachers who become frontline warriors in eradicating Quranic illiteracy, safeguarding religious literacy, and strengthening the moral foundation of future generations.
