Preacher Hanny Kristianto Revokes Convert Richard Lee's Certificate
BANDA ACEH – Preacher Hanny Kristianto has publicly revoked a certificate of conversion held by cosmetic doctor Richard Lee. The main reasons cited involve administrative discrepancies, with Richard Lee's ID card still listing his religion as Catholic, along with the perceived misuse of the certificate, not being used as per proper procedure. Hanny also stated he did not want the document to be misused within legal conflicts.
Hanny Kristianto added that there have been findings of public activities deemed contradictory. He mentioned documented photos of Richard Lee at a church and statements inconsistent with the principle of monotheism. However, Hanny emphasized that this revocation is purely administrative and does not constitute a cancellation of someone's Islamic status.
As of now, Richard Lee's side has not issued an official response regarding this certificate revocation. This controversy continues to spark debate on social media.
