Pertamina Assures Fuel Distribution in North Sumatra Back to Normal, Emphasizes No Tolerance for Tanker Drivers Breaking the Rules
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has confirmed that the distribution of fuel oil (BBM) in North Sumatra is now running safely and under control after previous queues at several gas stations. The company stressed that it will take firm action against tanker drivers who violate operational rules.
VP Corporate Communication of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, said that this step is to maintain the reliability of energy distribution and strengthen operational security and safety. "We offer zero tolerance for any violations that could disrupt the reliability of fuel distribution," she said on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
Disciplinary enforcement is carried out based on internal regulations so that the distribution chain stays up to standard and doesn't disturb services. Pertamina ensures that the enforcement process is done professionally, prioritizing work safety principles and service quality.
Currently, fuel distribution from fuel terminals to gas stations in North Sumatra has returned to normal. Fuel stock is confirmed safe, and distribution is going according to demand, so the public doesn't need to worry about the fuel supply.
